Instructor

This position provides approved law enforcement training to member of the PMO. The incumbent presents course material and instruction in law enforcement training, ranging from initial basic law enforcement training for civilian police officers attending the Marine Corps Police Academy to conducting in-service training and the re-qualification/certification program associated with Marine Corps law enforcement. The incumbent must possess a thorough knowledge of the subject matter as well as effective instructional delivery techniques and knowledge of instructional methods for adult students; and be in excellent physical condition to teach the rigorous hands-on portion of the curriculum. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of military or civilian police/security experience or related law enforcement experience within the past eight (8) years; and must have completed an instructor course such as the Navy Military Training Course, the Marine Corps MOI, or an instructor course conducted by an accredited police academy at the Federal or State level; minimum of one (1) year of experience as an instructor.
